How to Assemble the Mezze Platter
Assembling your dish is quick and easy and fun to create. This mezze tray is vegetarian, and you can feel free to add meats and others cheeses.
Set aside your tray or cutting board. We don’t always get to use our large platters or cutting boards; this is an opportunity to share one of your unique dishes.
Prepare dips. This is the time to prepare if you create any dips and spreads from scratch. In small bowls or plates, you can plate all your dips, including the hummus, olive tapenade, and artichoke hearts.
Place your dips and feta. Place your dips and feta in different areas of the serving plate. If you have 3, a triangle approach works great.
The drizzle. Before adding the remaining items to the platter, you can drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over the hummus and feta block. It doesn’t take much to add a little additional flavor and pizzazz to your platter.
Add the final ingredients. Now you can fill in the gaps between the dips and feta with the remaining ingredients. They can overlap and blend. Save some space for the pita bread.
Warm the pita and slice. Warm the pita bread up slightly, steaming over a covered saucepan for less than a minute works great. Cut in 1/8 triangles and place on the platter.
Garnish and serve. If you choose, you can garnish it with fresh mint. The platter is ready for all your guests and family. It is best to serve immediately upon preparing.
